Ellison Blamed Riot Damage on Law Enfocement

In the wake of the death of George Floyd, Attorney General Keith Ellison became an even more divisive figure as he placed blame for rioting damage on law enforcement.

"Even if people don't break windows, you still gotta pay overtime for officers who are going to be managing that situation. Police brutality is expensive," Ellison said in an event this June.

More than 1500 businesses were damaged in the riots causing more than $500 million in rebuilding costs.
